What is your favorite family tradition?

So far we haven't established any family traditions, but we are enjoying our little gift from God! Mommy is all about being out and about and exploring what our city and surrounding area has to offer that's most importantly free, kid friendly and family fun. We've gone to Sesame Street Live 50th Anniversary, turn on the fountain at Buckingham Fountain, and apple picking at the apple orchard to name a few! I feel that experiences are the best part of life and even better with my lil miss.

Tell us about your favorite family story.

Baby at 40! What an experience! On my 40th birthday I announced to my friends and family that I would be having a baby! To say the least that was the talk of the party...

Say what😝 So many hurdles when you're labeled AMA ( advanced maternal age) but due to advance science we found out it was a girl at 12 weeks Mom went crazy! I literally lived by the motto Think Pink! I bought all types of girl stuff everyday!

Dad on the other hand was getting cold feet😮 But all in all the pregnancy was going well until it wasn't! Then chaos broke out I went in for a routine prenatal visits at 28 weeks and was sent to the hospital for an extended stay. After 3 weeks of being monitored things finally were looking up and back on track.

Until the morning I was set to go home that's when I was told I would be having Lil Miss that day like in an hour... She was only 31 weeks. To say the least my delivery was not what was expected. But God saw fit to bless me with a 4lb 4 oz little miracle.

Lexington Elise fought her way to her momma...She did outstanding in her development and bet every challenge. Tiny but mighty! She was released after 30 days in the NICU and has continued to meet every milestone. And I'm still Thinking pink😝

What is your family's motto?

Tiny but Mighty......

What's your number one tip for new parents?

Don't over think it! Things might not go as planned but they will be what they are meant to be.

What has been the most surprising thing you've learned as a parent?

I'm no longer in control! She runs this house.

Tell us about your funniest parenting story (we all have them!)

Funny but not funny! I had been all down Daddy's back about making sure lil miss was strapped in, tucked tight, and baby proofed. Then the very first day I think oh I got this baby rolls off the chaise on my watch! I cried harder than the baby.
