Silly tradition but every Tuesday we take a photo to document our son's growth. Since we've been doing them since he was a baby he lights up the second he sees the camera (or phone)
I dropped my husband off to the airport for a business trip and the whole car ride he said this baby better not come. I told him not to worry, it's our first and most first babies are delivered late. Well my water broke that night while he was still up in the air. Once he landed I told him to get a flight back. Now having my son, I couldn't imagine life without him. I wasn't sure if I ever wanted kids. I was totally fine it just being us and the dogs. But being a mom is something I love. So much I decided to stay home and be a full time mom. I'm so blessed he chose me to be his mommy. He is the piece of me I never knew I was missing.
Never be afraid to be you
My son is a mixed ethnicity baby. We hope to teach our son to embrace this as he gets older. I feel this is so important as many mixed race babies never feel like they fit in. We want to teach him to love who he is, whoever he grows up to be!
Never say never. Before baby I had all these things I said if we ever have kids I would never do this or that. I've broken almost all of those things. When your a parent you do what you can to survive in the beginning and learn along the way.
You only have so much control over things. I'm such a planner type A personality and being a mom has really taught me how to slow down and live life day by day. Try not to focus on the craziness and enjoy every moment. Babies grow up too fast to worry about silly things.
Oh man, this one is embarrassing. I was at the store with my then 1 months old (now 8 months) and he was very gassy and letting them rip as we were at the store. They were really loud. I started looking around, noticing everyone looking at me and I said "I swear it's him!" I don't think anyone believed me. But it really was him! lol
