I love to cook and our family loves to share food and good conversations. One of our favorite things is every year at Thanksgiving we like to host a dinner for some students from our church who don't get to go home for the holidays. It's always such a blessing to be surrounded by amazing people sharing delicious food, playing games, and fruitful conversations. We look forward to it every year and even as we've had our kids, we try to still make it happen!
I think one that really sticks out is the bond that my son has developed with his sister. We found out we were having #2 (baby sister Evie) when #1 (Teddy) was just 10 months. After getting over the initial surprise moment and as it really sunk in that we'd have 2 under 2, we really feared how he would take it.. after all he was still a baby to us.
I've been told horror stories of siblings pinching, pushing, biting, etc. but we see the complete opposite. Even at that young age he has developed such a love for his sister and it melts my heart every day. He has such a big heart and even at 2 he's teaching her, loving her, and so much more. She's the first person he asks for when he wakes up and the last kiss at the end of each night.
Whatever it is, we have each other and we can get through it!
Don't stress about the little things but enjoy every moment because they grow too fast!
The love that you have for your children is another level of love.
LOL.. I think a lot of funny parenting stories have poop or pee in them... I think more with #1 there would be times with my husband would be changing Teddy's diaper and all i heard was "HEEALLPPP" but specifically one time I went in and was like what in the world happened... someone decided as he got his diaper changed that he would pee everywhere while dad had his butt up to put the new diaper underneath... he peed not only on his own face, there was a pee soaked changing table, the carpet was wet... pee running down the wall... sometimes all you do is laugh...
