What is your favorite family tradition?

We would go to the lake every year before school started (this started when my dad was very young) We would all get together and be 'off the grid' just enjoying time with family and soaking in the last bit of freedom!

Life is what happens when you're busy making plans

Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your family story?

My daughters name is Kinsley Josefa, we were originally going to just name her Kinsley Jo but a family name came up when visiting our families Adobe and we thought what a perfect fit! When our ancestors came to America and settled, Capt William Henry Dana married the Governor of Mexicos daughter, Maria Josefa Carillo. It was an homage to my 9x Great Grandma and such a beautiful and unique name!

What's your number one tip for new parents?

Its okay to not know it all...or anything at that matter! We all learn as we go! Welcome to the club!

What has been the most surprising thing you've learned as a parent?

How much more love you can possibly have for another human! And learning that I had much more patience than I thought!

Tell us about your funniest parenting story (we all have them!)

When my husband and I were changing our daughter at like 4/5 days old, he was talking about what features she got from us and what not (all while she is 'airing out') and my husband goes 'Ahh, what was that? It feels warm' well she peep! And then proceeded to almost projectile poop On him and the couch!
