We live in Chicago and love riding our bikes around the city! The path along the lake is fantastic. We haven't done it as a family of four yet - we need to get a seat for Teddy (he's only four months old) - but I look forward to more rides this summer.
It's been so much fun seeing Jack, my older son (he's three-and-a-half), become a big brother. He's been great with Teddy and it's so much fun to watch them interact. Jack has been the only one able to make Teddy laugh! And the other day he said, "I love Teddy, let's keep him forever."
Don't sweat the small stuff.
It takes a long time to get used to having children! It will slowly become your normal but it took me a while to figure out our new normal.
I understand my own mom now much better than I used to! I've always felt close to her but thought we were fairly different. Now, she makes so much sense to me and I find myself emulating her in a lot of ways. I feel very lucky.
Jack loves school and his teachers, and he made me a birthday card this year with a drawing of two people on it. I asked him if it was the two of us together and he said "No, that's me and Ms. Danielle." ☺️
