The Fuentes Family
What is your favorite family tradition?
We go on a family vacation once a year, skiing, lake, different countries. As long as we are together, we don't care where we go... We also sit at the table for dinner...we feel it is an important time for gathering and talking about our daily lives.
Tell us about your favorite family story.
I was a teen parent, had my daughter at 17, as a senior in High School. We had 2 boys after her. So by 22, I was a mom to 3! Dj and I have been together now for 23 years! God is good! We have a 5 month old grand baby girl name Adalynn Rose! She is super sweet! We are definitely blessed! We live like there is no tomorrow.
What is your family's motto?
"we may not have it all together, but together we have it all"

What's your number one tip for new parents?
Enjoy Every Minute!!! Soak it all up, it goes by fast!
What has been the most surprising thing you've learned as a parent?
Raising teens is super tough!! I thought it may be easier, because they are more independent....I was wrong...lol
Tell us about your funniest parenting story (we all have them!)
It was my first year teaching, my classroom was in a portable building, with a playground next to it. (it sits on a main street in our town) so people are constantly driving back and forth on this street) and I received a call from my principal letting me know that parents were calling and reporting of two little boys peeing in the sand box!!
Facing the main street, mind you!! I was so embarrased! lol When I called them in,and asked why they were peeing in the sand box, and informing them that we don't do that, and they it was gross....they looked up with their sad brown eyes, and said, "we were just trying to make mud!" So they could play in it!!! SMH
