The Heard Family

What is your favorite family tradition?
My little family is still very new however every Christmas morning we go to my in-laws house and open stockings and presents. I cannot wait for Charlie to be able to do this with all of us.
Tell us about your favorite family story.
Since we've only had Charlie for three months so far my favorite story is his birth story. I know I was having a C-section from the beginning of my pregnancy. We went in that morning and three hours later I met the love of my life. Charlie is an IVF baby so being able to hold him in my arms was the sweetest thing I have ever experienced.
What is your family's motto?
Trust God with everything!
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your family story?
Like I mentioned earlier Charlie is an IVF baby. It took seven surgeries and three rounds of IVF for us to get our little boy here. Out of the mini eggs and sperm retrieved throughout those cycles we only had two healthy viable embryos so we transferred the mail and froze the female. My husband and I cannot wait to be able to go back and transfer the female to complete our little family!

What has been the most surprising thing you've learned as a parent?
The baby doesn't abide by your schedule you abide by their's.
Tell us about your funniest parenting story (we all have them!)
My mother-in-law and I were bathing my son one night and I had just gotten done telling her that he had never gone number two in the bathtub when all of a sudden he had a blowout! We both died laughing. After all isn't parenting mostly laughing to keep from crying?
