My favorite family tradition is every Friday and/or Saturday night, we pull out my middle daughters full size matress from her bedroom. Pillows, blankets and all! Don't forget the stuffys (stuffed animals). And we watch movies until everyone falls asleep. We eat dinner and have lots of snacks right there on the bed in the living room! My girls look forward to it every weekend!
When my middle was about 4 months old, my grandfather passed away. On the way there it was a disaster, the baby was screaming, my oldest was singing "Let it go" at the top of her lungs. It was pouring down rain and my husband was about to pull out the hair he had left.
He looked at me with this look of distress and I was just smiling ear to ear. He said"what are you smiling about?" I said "this is life, this is what being alive is all about!" Could you imagine how much my grandfather would have love to experience that moment again. How much it would mean to him. I decided to embrace the chaos with Joy. After telling my husband, he also sat there smiling while driving and just taking in all the craziness.
Embrace the chaos!
Don't stress, everything will work out. It may be hard at first but you will get the hang of things, then everything will change. Don't get to comfortable, and embrace the chaos!
Everything is not always as bad as it seems and someone you know is probably going thru the same thing as you and your family
the hospital for GI sickness. She was dehydrated and kept vomiting and have diarrhea. When we were discharge she was not completely better but much more then when we first arrived at the hospital.
At home she was playing, I usually use cloth diapers, but to be able to count her diapers to make sure she was wetting enough she was in disapossibles. All of a sudden I smelt this horrid smell and knew she had pooped. I got up to find where she was hiding and all of a sudden I feel a squish under my feet.
She had learned to take the disposable off and there was poop every where. I find her smiling with her diaper in hand (she was only 11 months). It was a mess but hey on the positive side it was solid poop no more Diarrhea lol!
