Halloween is always a big event in our family. With my kids, I'm keeping up the tradition of homemade (or semi-homemade) costumes and whole family involvement. Last year we were the Addams Family and it was so much fun!
Seeing our son, three at the time, meet his baby sister for the first time was amazing. His immediate affection for her made our hearts burst with joy.
Be nice or leave.
We love Birdrock Baby!
Cut yourself some slack. There will be a million things to do and million ways you'll think you've messed up, but I'm the end, things work out. Give yourself a break, and as much as you can, just do what makes you happy.
As soon as one thing becomes easy, something that was once easy is difficult. Each milestone brings progress, but also a new challenge.
We had sent our son to his room, but he was defiantly standing at the top of the stairs yelling. My husband went to talk to him from the bottom of the stairs, but immediately started stifling laughter. Confused and annoyed, I tagged him out and looked around the corner to see what could possibly be so funny. I saw my four-year-old, acting boneless, slithering down the staircase on his back, all while trying to continue his tantrum. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen, and quickly turned a stressful moment into a hilarious memory.
