our family is just beginning traditions with our first baby girl being 9 months. So far, we have started the tradition of visiting the same local pumpkin patch festival every year together. I think traditions can be very special for families and I intend on creating many for us. :)
my favorite family story is the story of how our family started. My husband and I met on the school bus in junior high! We grew up living a mile a part from each other. We've literally grown up together. We've loved, we lost and we've learned. After all of our time together, we got married two years ago and had our baby girl, Hazel last December. She is the best thing that has ever happened to us and we feel so blessed to have our little family.
we don't really have a family motto but if I had to choose something, I would have to quote Jack Pearson when he says he just wants his family to be "ok." I love that. I just want us to be ok and do the best we can, always.
I still consider myself a new parent, but I would definitely give the advice of letting others help you! Especially if you are the type A mama, like myself. I know you might want full control and want things done your way, but you will learn to relax and wish you would have let others help you from the start!
That as soon as you feel comfortable in the baby phase you are in and think you know what you are doing, it all changes and a new phase comes along! Ha!
I was so afraid of the SIDS concern and "back is best" that I was convinced that my baby wasn't even allowed to turn her head to one side or the other in her sleep even if she was flat on her back! I panicked at night if her head even slightly moved! I was just that typical, clueless, scared new mama!
