The Perez Family
What is your favorite family tradition?
Every year we take a road trip together and it's the best family vacation ever. We get to spend every second of the day together and that is just the best, since back at home we have a crazy full schedule of sports and work and activities.
Tell us about your favorite family story.
Oh man, there is so many but my recent most favorite memory is telling our two boys (12 and 7) that they were going to have a baby brother/sister in 2019. Their reaction was one to remember.... they were not happy about it at all. With them being so big already they thought it was going to make their life horrible and they would have to share mama and mamas time.
As it was a huge surprise for them it was also for my husband and I! I didn't see myself having a third baby after my 30's, but God doesn't make mistakes and he blessed us with a beautiful baby girl May 2019!!!! Just what our family needed to be completed. We didn't see it as an accident we saw it as a blessing from above and she is here to show us that no matter what we have planned in our life, Gods plans are bigger and better.
What is your family's motto?
We are a TRIBE, we stick together in good times and in bad!
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your family story?
Becoming parents at a very young age (husband was 17 i was 18) was the best thing that has happened to us. Being high school sweethearts and growing together with our babies is a gift not many embrace. If i had the chance to do it all over again i would, i don't regret being a teen mom. Of course not everyone has the same chances but you get what you get and you either make it the best you can or see the negative side.

What's your number one tip for new parents?
The days are short and the nights are long, trust me they don't last! Enjoy every second of this new life and embrace every phase. Snuggle them harder love them spend quality time w them, we blink and they grow. And the time wasted we can never get back. It's ok to say no, no to visitors, no to going out, it's your time and your baby.
What has been the most surprising thing you've learned as a parent?
I have learned so much and grown so much as a women and person the second i became a mother when i was 18. One thing that truly have learned is that there is no other love like the love between a mother and child. The bond you create the second they are inside your womb, it's amazing how life is!
Tell us about your funniest parenting story (we all have them!)
Oh don't we all have those! With three kids the stories never end but one that sticks out is and never gets old...... when my babies... all three of them have pooped on me!!! The most funny part is my older boys being there to see it w my daughter!!! They get to re live little pieces of them being little that they can't remember!!!
