What is your favorite family tradition?
My husband and I have a 4 month old baby boy named Ford. He is our first, so we haven't established any of our own family traditions yet. With that being said, we look forward to spending this year building and creating new traditions with our little family......like our weekly family date nights.
Tell us about your favorite family story.
My favorite family story is how my husband and I met. My husband was my first boyfriend in the 5th grade (if you want to call it that haha). I ended up moving to a different state after my 5th grade year. Marc, my husband, and I kept in touch every summer when I would come back and visit. All the way into high school and college. When we were in high school we used to say that if we were 23 (of course a high schooler would think 23 was old) and still single we would get married.
Seven years later I had moved 3 more times and saw and talked to Marc less and less. One day at age 30 I woke up to a text that said, "we may not be 23, but how about 30?" Marc came and visited me in Dallas two weeks later and were engaged 5 months after that.
What is your family's motto?
Eat well, travel often.

What's your number one tip for new parents?
It's okay to ask for help!!
What has been the most surprising thing you've learned as a parent?
Maybe this isn't as surprising, but it surprised me in a good way. My son was taken to the NICU immediately after my c section. I did not get to see or hold my son for almost 3 days. The first time I held him and spoke he lifted his head up high and looked me right in the face. I know is women carry them for 9 months, but it was pretty cool to see him react that way.
Tell us about your funniest parenting story (we all have them!)
My son has quite the "gas" problem. Even as an infant he would fart so loud that people in the room would think it was my husband or I.
