I bought a pair of BirdRocks when my son first starting walking because I loved the look of them while also appreciating that they are as close to barefoot as a baby can get. Since foot development and sensory input through the feet is so important at a young age I was really conscious of that when looking for his first real shoes. Since then we bought 4 more pairs, the hard sole Home Run being the most recent. The hard sole is still super flexible, but gives a little more protection than the leather soles mocs, which we need now that he’s running. My son won’t wear any other shoes. If they’re not BirdRock mocs he pulls them off his feet.

My grandson has been wearing the home run moccasins for more than a year. This is my 4th purchase and now he’s big enough for hard soles! Excellent company…always great service!

Love the design of the baseball stitching. It looks so much like a real baseball. Baby is comfortable and enjoying his first steps in his big boy shoes!! Other shoes are too clunky and trio him up because he’s still learning, but NOT these. They’re soft and flexible and lightweight. They wipe clean easily with a baby wipe.
